Update

So, last week I weighed in and allegedly lost 2.8 lbs. That was untrue. It was really 3.4 Hooray for Hollywood. TOday, another 2.6 is gone for a grand total of 14.6 pounds that are missing from my hiney. OR this:
Pretty cool.

On to other news…

Yesterday I got up early and went down to the marathon and clapped and cheered on the runners. I have to say, this was an incrediblly emotional experience. SO amazing were these people, all shapes and sizes and various levels of fit. So cool. Have you ever done that? We were at the bottom of a hill, and kept yelling to the girls, Keep Going! George Clooney is a the top waiting for you!! Fun with George. Tee hee hee.

Went to the dentist today. Apparently, I grind my teeth. Must be fitted for a guard. Before we do that however, we must find out how much my insurance will pay to replace all the veneers, which are 17 years old and receeding and causing gum ickyness. So we’re looking at replacing all those. OH and I have to go get some deep cleaning done around a wisdom tooth that I refuse to have pulled. BLeagh. TWO HOURS in that chair and I hurt and bleagh bleagh bleagh.

Had lunch with my dad today….anyone ready for this: wait for it. . .

He’s moving.
Not to Arkansas, which was my first guess. Probably to eastern Oklahoma, or Missouri, still very close to Taryn and the Gang. He’s struggling with leaving me here, I said go go go. Don’t stay for me. I’m fine here. He tried to talk about me moving too. . . well I dont want to move. Until the morning comes when I wake up and say “I want to move”, I don’t want to move. I was pretty fine, but now feel a little funk setting in.

My teeth hurt.

I and Bonus Mom will be the only thing family wise left in Oklahoma. Meme Lois is here, still in Granite and Papa is still in the rest home in Altus, but as far as functioning family. . . that’s it. Interesting.

SO there. That’s it from here. I’m wondering how Kizz’s weekend went and her computer is getting more good stuff added to it so I’ll just wait and send good thoughts. Joe is fighting with his car, Gert is in transition. . . Hopefully this will be one of those transition times where we all come out smelling the roses.

Huh?
See. My teeth freakin hurt. I’m off to take some ibuprofin. We’ll see if I can muster up ten things for tomorrow….

Friday File

I realize we have much to discuss. It’s been an eventfull week.

Last night we had the first of the debates and I think from what I saw, the Dems did ok. It was very cordial. No one was sucker punching anyone, we were on a first name basis for the most part. I only saw the last half hour, stupid me, I thought it was aired in prime time. duh.

We’ve had departures. Rosie is leaving. More importantly, so is Gertie. Both flying to better and more fulfilling things. Well wishes abound for the both of them.

I got my first Mystic Tan. It’s ok. I’m not super dark, but it certainly looks better. My theory has always been, chocolate pudding is MUCH more appealing than cottage cheese. So there.

BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY:

We’ve had our first kill. This is what I woke up to Wednesday morning. . . bleagh. Kind of grossed myself out then rallied and ran for the camera. Baby’s all growns up.

slurp.

Just a few more bites

If you haven’t checked out Chromeplatedgirl’s blog, go do so now. Her 10 Things Tuesday was fantastic! I’ve been to several of those places with and without her and I’d forgotten about them, so it was verra cool!

In reference to Kizz’s post a few days ago, I had myself a ‘sign’ moment I thought I’d share.

I’m in the salon, sitting next to the assistant and Phil’s age comes up. She, (19 and oh so not sharp) asks what’s the difference in our age. “21” I say. “years?” she says. “Nope. 21 minutes…here’s your sign.” The receptionist died laughing as did I. I don’t know that the assistant even got it…but that’s ok by me.

Kizz, keep me posted on your week from Hell. and I’m DYING to know who your ghost reader is. . . hmmmmm. Smoke ’em out, I say!

If you wanted to know where I found those T-shirts it was here

That’s about it I think.

Huzzah to you. Enjoy your humpday!

A Few Wednesday Bites

For one thing, let’s have a big fat HUZZUAH and a GOODNIGHT SWEET BITCH to the ole no-dancing-marry-a-Beatle-for-his-money-pose-as-a-celebrity-activist that got booted tonight from Dancing With the Stars

AND when I was looking for a photo…found quite a few of Ms. Mills/McCartney…SANS CLOTHING!!!! Hussy.

Now. Yes. I have been watching it this season. All who know me know how much I despise reality tv. I really do. I want to see great writing, great acting. . . but occasionally I’ll get sucked into the void and the next thing you know I’m dancin in the streets with Cliff and Steve Sanders and Joey from In Sync and that fabulous speed skater Apollo….sigh.

Moving on:

Gilmore Girls was new again! Gasp! Two fresh eps in a row! Holy crap! Now, riddle me this…what the hell has happened to Miss Patty?? Gastric Bypass? She’s a ghost in fat women’s mumu’s. AND Sookie…is she really pregnant in real life? because something is going on with her face. Swollen. Her nose to be precise. Several friends have had their noses go ginormous during the preggers so I’m just wondering. Ok Lookie what I found. Well, nevermind.

Work is unbearably slow. This paycheck is going to sucketh mucheth.

I walked for an hour tonight. Right passed this house that I’ve been eyeballing for two years now. It’s up for sale. That is all I know. But I really like it. May call about it or send an email or some such.

Alleged wicked pissah thunderstorms and tornadic activity with hail today. Not so much. Just the thunder and lightening and buckets o’rain. The Festival of the Arts began today, so we’re guaranteed several more days of bad weather. But on a happier note, they will still be selling fantastic food and ice cold beer and the rain will let up eventually. It ALWAYS does!

Huzzuah and Happy Wednesday and I love George Clooney.

Ten Things Tuesday: Things I did yesterday that made me so busy I don’t have a good list today:

1) Got up and went for a super strong “cleansing” coffee at the Starbucks and deposited my check in the bank. This was done early, so that I could “cleanse” before weigh in. Ewwww. I know.

2.) Weighed in and stayed for meeting. When I told the group about gaining a male lemur last week, one of the old ladies behind me came up after and said (squeaky old lady voice here)” I thought you said you gained a SMALL WEINER, and I just wondered how do you MEASURE THAT????”

3.) Opened the bar and gathered the things I bought during the auction on Saturday, sans one mirror I bought for the BILaw. Missing bar sign.

4.) Went to the shoe getting place and bought Phil two new pairs of shoes.

5.) Hit the big walmart for various things, new iron, ironing board, groceries, etc. Totally forgot the replacement collars and new flea/tick meds for the kids.

6.)Cleaned out closets, took about 10 garbage bags (the big kind) to Goodwill. Including handbags, and two bags of shoes. Phil cleaned out the t-shirts as well.

7.) Picked up the house and ran the Dyson.

8.) Folded tons of laundry, and worked on finding a place for all the crap we didn’t toss.

9.) Made guacamole, and chicken fajitas for dinner.

10.)Watched Dancing with the Stars and HEROS!!! Ya-TAAAAAAAA it’s back!!!

Lost over half of that damned Lemur. . .

I don’t know who this guy is, and hopefully he won’t be mad about me using this picture, but he’s holding the equivilent of what I lost last week! 2.8 pounds! Huzzah! It was a great weigh in and great meeting. I am loving this meeting more and more. I got caught up in the whole “if I hadn’t drank Saturday night, if I hadn’t eaten that Braums hangover burger on Sunday. . ” I’m happy with this.

Today, making more zero point soup, cleaning out the freakin closet and planting some seeds in honor of yesterday being Earth Day.

What about you? What are you doing?

Sleepy Sunday

This is what I’ve been all day long. Flop. Had just the best time last night. I did actually wear the cammo bra, one of them anyway. . . and I think I showed it to just about everyone there. Good grief. Phil’s ex wife was there. Weird. I said hi and that was it. She had a table of people, and was there to support Alli so whatever. Point is, I think she even saw my bra at some point. Classy.

We had a great time, raised over $3200 and that doesn’t count the sales from the cammo t-shirts we had made with the bar logo. All in all, a damned good night. The bartenders took home $300 each in tips so they were happy. No real fights to speak of…it kind of got dicey at the end but it always does at witching hour.

I have been on the couch all day long except for the trip to Braums to get a fat juicy cheeseburger and sprite. I hate that I was so good all week and just blew the crap out of it on the weekend. I knew I was going to but now I really hope that I have a loss tomorrow at weigh in.

Watched Fletch on AMC today. Fletch Lives was on during my naptime so I missed it. It’s been eons since I’ve seen that movie and I cracked up over and over and over. Chevy. Funny guy.

That’s it for me. Tomorrow is errands, cleaning, weigh in and I’m planting stuff in the garden. Hope you had a great weekend. Here’s to another week! Huzzuah and I love GC.

Anticipay-yay-tion

I found my cammo outfit for tomorrow night’s benefit/big ass party. It looks something like this. Without the headband…

am off to the Family Dollar tomorrow to buy the cammo print bra and thong combo they have for 8 bucks that will no more hold my boosies in than a bandaid, but what the hell. It’s for the troops, right?

I think it’s going to be a freaking madhouse. The last benefit we did was for Katrina Relief and it remains the one night whereby we measure all nights from hell that follow. . . and nothing compares. I know Phil is really ready for it to be over. I’m just happy it’s someone elses job and I’m going tomorrow to have a cold beer and some F-U-N.

I’ve been soooooooooo good with points and bla bla bla….I’m not going to be crazyass, but I’m saving points tomorrow and may dip into the flex points and then on sunday hopefully I can get some exercise and have a great weigh in on Monday. I don’t want tomorrow to totally defeat my work, but DAMN GINA I’m ready to twist off. with a CAPITAL T.

The weather here is delicious. High 70’s. Slight breeze. Beautiful. I wish you ALL were here with me, we’ll raise some money for the USO
And have a little fun doing it.

Huzzuh and Happy Weekend and I love George Clooney. . . duh.
