Friday

It’s Friday. On Fridays, I usually work pretty hard and by the end of the day want to play. Pretty Hard. Except that Fridays are my Thursdays. That still suck, folks. After three years, you’d think I’d be tuned into it properly. Not so much.

Tonight, however I’m going to be good. In a perfect world Mr-Fly-By-The-Seat-of-My-Pants would call me and say, hey how about doing something tonight. . . as stated in the previous post where Ugly Betty was getting her groove back as I stood by watching hopelessly, it’s not a perfect world. Still, I need a low key evening of hydration and rest. Working a half day tomorrow then the Steel Mags staged reading tomorrow night.

This performance is in conjunction with Homecoming. Now, when I was at school some ten years ago, it was just another weekend for the blue hairs to visit. These days, it is a BIG DEAL. All caps. My friend, who is also in the show with me, is the fairly new Alumni–person,officer,manager,whatsit. She is literally about to collapse. So stressed out. I feel badly for her!

On the upside, Ma and Rog, my other parents, (Chrome’s other mom as well) will be in town. They are driving up from Ft. Worth today, but I won’t see them till tomorrow. There is a function for the alumni after the show called AfterGlow. That is my favorite thing. Apparently everyone gathers at the Best Western for an overflowing amount of cocktails and memories. Pretty sure I’m gonna skip it and hang with the fam.

BonusMom is still away. She should be back on Sunday. It’s been ok here by myself. I haven’t been scared or anything. It will be nice to have her back.

There was just an advertisement for tonight’s local news on tv. Apparently they are doing a story on animal acupuncture.

Huh.
