Worked in the yard all afternoon yesterday. I feel like I raked up eleventy gillion leaves…the hail storm did some work on the trees. So, raked the firtch for what seemed like hours. Little by little I’m making the backyard come to life. I replanted some stuff in my garden, gifted by Bonusmom to make up for what I lost in the storm. Some basil, some cilantro, couple more peppers and tomatos. She gave me a big ole honker right from her garden, which I just put in the dirt. Found the sunniest spot and there she went! I also made a new shade garden of sorts. Moved all of my Hostas from the front that got beat up by the ice…and turns out I had two come up that survived the digging disaster! Once they get revived they’ll look spectacular!
OH and guess what? I think..I think I found a random tomato plant coming up…IN THE MIDDLE OF THE YARD. (i use the word yard loosely) I think it is. I’ll let it grow a bit more to be sure, just so I don’t transplant a weed. Prolly some random seed form a cookout last year! Anyways, thought that was pretty cool. Even amidst the nasty, comes some pretty cool surprises.
Also got some organization in the kitchen thanks to the roomie. He cleared out and re-organized the pantry and some of the cabinets! I love it!
Today I’m going to try to squeeze in a workout. Kiki to the vet this afternoon. Southside OKC to check out a grill. Tuttle to pick up co-op bounty…
Talked to my insurance yesterday. June 2nd is my date to get the house inspected. We’ll see what comes of it, eh? It’d be nice to get a little extra…then I could hire someone to put up the guttering. For real this time!
