Chrome opens her show tonight. Join in on giving her a big ole “Break A Leg!” She’s been super ass busy as of late and hasn’t had time to post on her site in a month or so, but go on over and leave her a note of Huzzuah and Hooray!

It’s International Talk Like A Pirate Day!!!!!
Celebrate!
Finally getting back to normal post NYC. Have finished my DT’s from the Bagel House in Astoria, have finally sobered up from the margaritas at Cowgirl’s. We’ve been working as a team (for the most part) at the salon, sharing what we learned and that is uplifting. I have gone to bed the last three nights at 8:30pm. And SLEPT! Every hour, slept. Today is the first day I feel human. Whew.
and I’ve decided I need to go back.
My GIRLS start filming in the city today. Just missed it. For you city dwellers, keep the eyeballs peeled!!
Chrome’s show opens tomorrow. Would that I could be there cheering her on. Will just have to cheer loudly a few states away.
Young Frankenstein opens soon. Kizz got tickets. I’m jealous beyond belief! Megan Mulally, Sutton Foster, Roger Bart. Sigh. I heart N.Y.
My new prices went into effect yesterday, from my raise. That is encouraging. I’m looking forweard to seeing my friends this weekend, watching the Colts play on Sunday. Back to life. Hope you’re doiing the same. I’m off to find a UPS store, and get to work. Weigh in today. Last week, while in NYC, went to meet The Prophet of WW and alas, it was Jewish New Years Eve. Flop. So I weighed in and skedaddled. Was down .4 which was amazing considering we’d partied like rockstars the night/early morning previous. will be interested in what today brings.
My boyfriend George Clooney has a new one coming out. Lawyer flick. I’m so there. Huzzuah and Happy Wednesday

Saturday night in the big town. Worked yesterday and today, and it was FUN! We are using all our new tools that came from class last week (cannot believe it’s a week tonight I was in NYC. sniff.) and implementing them onto our clients. It’s amazing. I just did a great color, new formulation, new placement on my mom. it was awesome! Huzzuah for new stuff! However, on this the first Saturday back In town, I am sitting in the living room, finished with one cut and color, and a men’s cut(bonus dad’s) and have my now swollen feet propped up and am gulping the wine and blogging while watching reruns of greys Anatomy on Lifetime.
and you know what? I’m SOOOO fine with that. I came back from NYC with the kennel cough. Too much rock star behavior, too little sleep. I greatly resemble the silver glitter nail polish I copped at Kizz’s that last night. Fragments of shiny shiny floating into thin air. That would be me.
I feel stressed a bit about this weekend, because I have none. I’m taking a page out of Chrome’s day timer and booking myself round the clock. Tomorrow, cut and color sis and cut Wonderboy. Rehearsal for Steel Mags OH DENNY IS IN THIS RERUN!!! SIGH rehearsal from 3-6 in Chickasha. Must be at work Monday at 9 for some bullshit mass cleaning htat only a few of us will show up for. the few of us that clean everything everyday anyway. Whine. Whine. wine? why yes, I believe i shall have just a titch more. Ahhh yes. That’s better.
I have to say, since the class, those of us that went have been working well. Sharing, laughing, inspiring each other. we took a cue from Dop Dop and cleaned our space extra shiny. But when we came back…splat. Back to the high school drama that we left. Just too much drama. I have no tolerance for what she should text him and why did he not call and what are you going to wear and oh my god i am so hungover. OVER IT. Our clients don’t pay anything for that crap. that is it for my bitching. Done with that.
and now after my computer shut itself off, and i had to reboot and bla bla bla I’m done. good night.
Home at last. Home at last. My feet are numb, and so is my ass….back to work tomorrow. boo. hiss. spit.
Got home around noonish here on the frontier and immediately hit the sack. We overslept this morning. Chrome came stumbling in the room at 5am with her phone in her hand saying the car is here NOW! We both jumped up, put on our clothes and were out the door in five minutes. We got to the airport in 11 minutes. Seriously. Chrome lives close. thank God! we checked in outside with the sky hop guys and while I think we were both looking a little rough, I was worse because the man said something along the lines of “was this the first trip for your daughter?” Yes. yes it was. Madchen quickly corrected him but I was laughing too hard to care. We got inside, went and brushed our teeth, got some Starbucks, quick wink at the NYPD in line with me and off we went. The travel goddess was smiling on us throughout the entire trip.
It was a great trip. I don’t remember when I’ve laughed quite so much. that’s the fun thing about traveling with someone. The inside jokes that really are funny only to you. Needless to say I won’t bore you but I have some new laugh lines, that’s for sure.
We never made it to Yankee Stadium. that day was Sept 11. I’ll talk more about that experience and my impressions when my brain isn’t so mushy. But it rained all day that day, and we were tired.
We spent the morning in the salon, Dop Dop and I got my hair cut off. I love it. Glad to finally be back into the atmosphere that works well with my hair. It was fuzzy most every day there. hot. sticky. fuzzy wuzzy hair. anyway, i digress. That was also the birthday of one of the salon girls I was there with. We had plans for dinner that evening, plans that fell through location wise, (no Bourgeoisie Pig for us. next year.) but we wound up at the most perfect place for all of us. The Cowgirl Hall of Fame. I’d eaten brunch with Kizz and Gert there a few years ago. It was awesome. Everyone had a great time. The ‘ritas were strong and cold. the waiter who brought us our food was hot and strapping. His name was Patrick but his tee shirt said Pudding, so from that point we called him Puddin’. Hot slurpy Puddin. Kayse was a total bitch to him because god forbid her food was not right. (insert eye roll that sprains them in their sockets) we went onto a bar up the street and had some fun. We all took cabs back home and from there, Chrome, Madchen, and myself thought it prudent to stay out until 4 am. Actually I think the words out of Chrome’s mouth were something like, ” I know you are tired but we have GOT to stay and talk to him!!” (insert cute boy from Arkansas who lives across from said bar) so. 4am. then another full day. then waking up and flying this morning. oy vey.
Kizz and I had a great day together yesterday. we had some good hangover breakfast at the EDISON CAFE. so good. then to the TKTS booth for our show. We saw Curtains with David Hyde Pierce.
DEEEE Lightful I say. She and I had the best time. Laughed and laughed and laughed. The show, I’ve heard isn’t perfect, bla bla bla. Whatever. I don’t have to dissect it to have a great time at the theatre. We laughed and made friends with all of the old folks out for their field trip. Grand day. We went back to Brooklyn with Kizz, Chrome went to rehearsal (the girl is so busy we hardly saw each other. busy bee.) We ate at Maggie Browns which is seriously right around the corner from Kizz’s apartment and took a car service home to Queens.
Tired.
Good.
tired.
It seems a million years ago I was soaking wet talking to The Pilot in the middle of the airport. This trip started off SO GOOD! hahaha!!!. Good week. Good for my mind. Good for my soul.
A million thanks to Chrome for the boarding. For living so close to my Bagel Boyfriend!! To Kizz for her unending patience and for guiding all of the newbies around the train! To both of them for loving me and being my friend. Big hugs to you both!!!
My ass is about four blocks behind me. Open the door for it when it shows up…but only let half of it back in.
Today was the last day of class. I was asked to be a model…I actually think she wanted me to get my hair fixed, from the mess we’d made of it, and knew it was going to be an all day correction that could cost me about five hundred or more in the shop so offered a free ride today…I totally jumped on board. It looks beautiful. blonde, and softer and gorgeous. Fried. But tomorrow am going to the salon for a cut so that will be great.
We did Chinatown today. fake purse shopping. Climbed SEVEN FLIGHTS, and frankly it could have been more, up stairs to look at this fake stuff. I got a purse for myself, so I suppose it was worth it but damnit!!! I thought I was going to stroke out. Seriously.
Tomorrow is another full one, starting about 8am with a trip to Yankee Stadium. It’s 9/11 so that will be interesting. We are not going near the site. Too many things going on. Shopping. Dinner. We’ve got plans with our teachers/assistants/stylist at the salon we’re going to tomorrow to maybe meet up with us tomorrow night for drinks, so that should be fun.
We’re tired. SEVEN FLIGHTS OF STAIRS PEOPLE!!!
effing amazing.
It’s been a great howevermany days. I’m so bone weary I cannot tell you. Chrome bought a blowup bed because last night i poked her in my sleep and said,” something…I was just trying to get your attention don’t give me that disgusted look.”
bless her heart.
Class is great. Tomorrow we work on humans. Tuesday I’m going to DopDop to get my hair did. muy expensivo, but I’m freakin worth it.
Took two girls to RENT tonight. My boyfriend Adam Pascal is in it again. Saw him eleven years ago…amazing what has happened since that trip and this one. I wept from the time my butt hit the seat (10th row orchestra and we got it for 50%OFF thirty minutes before curtain!!!) till the time I walked out. Sigh. There are not enough words to describe my level of bliss. I told The Pilot about this show last week, was sooooo wishing he was sitting in that empty seat next to me. Another sigh.
Tomorrow is China town purse shopping, and more shopping for the girls. Tuesday is hair, Ronna’s birthday, seeking out Sex in the City sites, and fondue and wine at the Bougouise Pig. I will post pictures when I get home….
I heart NY.
