June First. Can you BELIEVE IT???

Nuts.

How was your weekend? Full of lazy and cookouts and some sun? Mine was. Friends on Friday with Josie and Gert and Ringo and Hawk…laughs. Drinks. More laughs. Saturday was blissful. Did some wedding hair, then attended a wedding…Cannot believe that child is old enough to be married. Hung out with the Ya-Ya’s and just had a great night. Sunday I caught a few hours by the pool, then headed to work a wedding. I thought about using yesterday to pick up the house, do some laundry, prep for the week…but decided to head to the pool and say screw it to the chores! So I did. Slathered in sunscreen, cold tecate’s at our whim, nose in a book. All. Day. Long.

To bed early last night and ready for the work week! Today’s payday, so that’s a fabulous way to begin! Hope yours is good…get back on that horse and let’s ride it to another weekend!!!

We are ALL thankful, I’m betting, that we get a long weekend. That it is Finally FINALLY Friday and rest and get away is upon us.

I’m thankful for all of that. For my whole weekend which will be filled with friends and laughter and easy like sunday morning exchanges of wit. I’m thankful to do my friends hair for her son’s wedding. Her son who I’ve known since he was like…5 or 6. I’m thankful that I get to help her get ready for this even…sniff sniff sniff. I’m thankful that I get to be a GUEST at a wedding this weekend! And I am thankful that I get to work on on Sunday.

My insurance adjuster comes wednesday. One of my client/friends’s husband works as an adjuster. I’ve been given mucho hope for what I can get for my house…I’m excited about it.

The movie was good. Ive never been to a midnight movie before…I know. That seems wierd, right? Oh well. There were about 6 of us from work, and the two theatres showing it were packed. It was fun. Long….I got home at 3am. Full full full day at the salon..gah.

it’s 8pm and I’m heading to bed.

Missing comedy. and it’s a big important night so I should really be there but…I got Carried away last night.

I love this show. I love the first movie. I love these women and their relationships with each other. I love the city. Love love love.

the second movie was good. Not as good as the first, but there are variables for that, and really, my only complaint is that there was considerably less City…NYC is the fifth girl in that group. I missed her this movie.

I will see it again. Perhaps more than twice. Not at midnight…

For now…to bed for me.

It’s a brand new day. I’m over my pissoffs. Slept a little funky, crazy dreams and what not but feel fine this morning. Fresh coffee. Said hello to all the kitty’s. Took a walk around all the prettys in the garden and said Good Morning! Gave thanks for a brand new day…

Yesterday and it’s annoyances are behind me. Today is full of promise…great clients this afternoon and evening. and tonight…I can’t believe I’m doing this but…

I am annoyed.

Since this afternoon…I’ve been just pissed off and annoyed. and the reasons are stupid…but valid. my feelings are valid and my feelings are that I’m pissed off and annoyed.

I’ve tried to shake it off, but it’s held fast tonight. Throughout my favorite tv shows…

I’m trying to figure out what I’m REALLY annoyed about. Trying to figure out the underlying reason this has stuck with me tonight. I know it’s not because of my initial knee jerk reaction…even though I think that’s valid too.

So.

thought typing it out would help…so far I’m just getting angry. . . so I’ma have a cuppa hot soothing sleepy tea and take myself to the bed.

Another full day yesterday…I chopped more tree stuff down, raked more leaves…planted about eleventy million sunflower and moon flower seeds. I think that in a few months the yard will be at least…full of life.
With the compost that I got from Bonusmom, came some random bits of growth in the garden itself. One of these little bits, a punkin or squash of sorts, I transplanted into some dead space behind my “lil shed” It’s just taken right off. Hmmmm. You know what I think of Moderation…there is an entire pack of jack-o-lantern punkin seeds back there in the ground now! We’ll see! I also got two more hot pepper plants and some lettuce seeds that I put into the garden. a few of my castor bean plants are sprouting…life is coming back.

We had Co-Op dinner last night, big fat salad and cake. I made Chris and Cindy come out and see if those really are tomato plants sprouting up out of the middle of the yard…they thought so too! Crazy, eh? I may try to move them…or I may put a cage around it and let it grow!

Everybody got a big fat drink of the good fertilizer and spray-n-grow stuff too. Grow! Grow! Grow!!!

Kiki went to the doc yesterday. She got a steroid shot for her flea allergy. She’s scratched herself raw around the neck…bless her heart. I know I’ve been remiss with their flea/tick meds. It’s expensive. 50 some bucks a month for all of them! But. Well worth it. I’ll just work more…

It’s a short week, ya’ll. We have Saturday off at the salon for the Memorial Day Weekend. I’m super excited about that. I’m attending a wedding on Saturday night, but working one on Sunday afternoon. Hope to get some nice sunshine on my shoulders, attend the Paseo Arts Fest, and just be generally lazy. We’ll see how it shakes out!

I also—–have no idea what I was going to type here. Got distracted by a Sex and the City movie trailer on tv. I’ll be at the midnight movie tomorrow night watching it! Wheee!

Gert starts her job today. Pseudo Sis 1 has a second interview next week…everything’s coming up..tomato plants!

Worked in the yard all afternoon yesterday. I feel like I raked up eleventy gillion leaves…the hail storm did some work on the trees. So, raked the firtch for what seemed like hours. Little by little I’m making the backyard come to life. I replanted some stuff in my garden, gifted by Bonusmom to make up for what I lost in the storm. Some basil, some cilantro, couple more peppers and tomatos. She gave me a big ole honker right from her garden, which I just put in the dirt. Found the sunniest spot and there she went! I also made a new shade garden of sorts. Moved all of my Hostas from the front that got beat up by the ice…and turns out I had two come up that survived the digging disaster! Once they get revived they’ll look spectacular!

OH and guess what? I think..I think I found a random tomato plant coming up…IN THE MIDDLE OF THE YARD. (i use the word yard loosely) I think it is. I’ll let it grow a bit more to be sure, just so I don’t transplant a weed. Prolly some random seed form a cookout last year! Anyways, thought that was pretty cool. Even amidst the nasty, comes some pretty cool surprises.

Also got some organization in the kitchen thanks to the roomie. He cleared out and re-organized the pantry and some of the cabinets! I love it!

Today I’m going to try to squeeze in a workout. Kiki to the vet this afternoon. Southside OKC to check out a grill. Tuttle to pick up co-op bounty…

Talked to my insurance yesterday. June 2nd is my date to get the house inspected. We’ll see what comes of it, eh? It’d be nice to get a little extra…then I could hire someone to put up the guttering. For real this time!

I’m tired. The wedding last night was a hooptie fest…loud booty scratch music and guests who sucked down the freebies then were annoyed when the bar required payment for drinks. Gah. Everybody wants something for nothing. Over it.

However, I had some good facetime with the parental units. Made a little moolah to start the savings all over again…I have tons of stuff to do today and need to do it because tomorrow is working out, Kiki to the vet then another haul out to Tuttle for the co op bounty. so tomorrow is already booked. Gah…trying to find energy. Trying to find energy.
