I’d forgotten just exactly HOW nervous I get before opening a show. Holy batshit! whew! Glad we’ve got one under our belt, though. Last night went well. I had many many many friends in the audience, most of the salon, Mgirl, Mandrea and company, my new theatre friends, GirlKris and co. the redhead…all there. And though I threatened them with torture and certain death if they laughed at my costumes, I heard many a silent snicker at each entrance! Oh well. That’s all I could really ask for.
The show itself was a liiiiiiiiiiiittle wonky. For the most part we hit all the right notes. Some of them a few times in a scene, loop de loop and around again, some of them we just skipped all together. But we got through it and are ready for tonight. Elephantsoap and Numskullery are coming tonight! Wahoooo! Delbert and possibly some friends from the class of 89 are coming as well.
I’m so glad I don’t have to go in until 10 today, and I think I can leave around 4:15. I feel like a whole new person after some sleep but I know I’ll need a little brain time before tonight. Tomorrow is church and CHILLING OUT!!! I need to aknowledge this house and it’s contents which I have NOT done in the last week or so. But other than that…I got nuthin planned. Maybe I’ll try to eat a vegetable.

You need to rest! Be lazy today. You’ve totally earned it. Chris and I both agreed that the play would not have been as strong or emotionally charged with out you. You made it.
