Thankful Friday

NO SNOW!!! NO SNOW!!! NO SNOW!!!

We’ve been forcasted for a storm today, allegedly we were to wake up with up to 4 inches on the ground. It’s just raining here in the metro. Some parts of the city further south do have snow, but NOT HERE IN THE VILLIAGE!! Weeeeeeee! Just rain. Little Black Sambo woke me up all wet and full of love, paws on the face, meowing for food at the crack of ass this morning…didn’t even bother me! It’s a great day kids!

So let’s talk about a few things. My plumbing. Dum da dum dum dummmmmmmmmmmm.

apparently the reason for the backing up in the garage when I do laundry is because there’s another pipe that ties into the main line and well that thing’s clogged up too. there is more digging to be done. the ONE patch of earth that has yet to be unturned? Ohhhh proud mary keep on turning…Perhaps he’s here today. It was depending on the weather. This will add to the cost, so my leftover money (which is an oxymoron, I understand.) may go away w/o benefiting anything other than the pipes, but still. I’m filled with grace at the fact that I HAVE funds to pay for this. NEXT year…NEXT YEAR? We get the windows. and perhaps a new screen door! It’ll happen, kids!  My plumber is such a great guy. He’s as annoyed that this isn’t fixed as I am. Laundry will happen elsewhere this week, but that too is ok.

Performances tonight and tomorrow and I’m super excited. We had a pick-up rehearsal last night. non sequiter, stopping for archive photos, really loose and fun. I have friends in the audience…Martha is coming!!! Today is her birthday!!! I would post some pics, but apparently I have a glitch and don’t really know how to post all that well. I’ll make it up to her with lots of extra loving this weekend! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARTHA!!!! MUAH!

Lord, the Today show is showing how much snow in my beloved NYC. Girls…stay safe. Stay warm. You got yourself a giant ass storm up there…16 inches in Central Park? Oy. OY I say. I hope you stay home, have something warm and bubbly on the stove, and enjoy yourself. But knowing you girls, you’re stomping and tromping into the city, doing the working as you are want to do. Be careful!

Today is Friday. For that I am thankful. I have a late start and a full book. I get to perform tonight. I get to see friends this weekend. I am thankful for all of this. But most of all? Our girl at work, Haley, she got her baby boy last night! She and her husband are adopting and he was born last night and it’s just such a blessing. I am thankful…indeed.

Ok, time to rustle up something for the breakfast…Happy Friday ya’ll.
