It’s a glorious morning here…I’m sipping my coffee before getting ready to celebrate Easter with Bonusmom at her church and then with a meal on the Frontier. Then I’m home this afternoon to drag a bunch of stuff to the curb for Big Trash Day tomorrow. I’m making room for my new roommate this weekend as well. Lots to do.
My neck has been clinched up since Wednesday. Seriously messed up. I’m sure it’s stress. Muscle relaxers, taken in multiples, haven’t budged this. I finally broke down and spent the $ on a massage yesterday after work. The guy really worked me over. Re-aligned my hips which were all kinds of wonky, my spine which was not even moving because the muscles were seized up…gah. I’m still really sore this morning, which is to be expected. Drinking gallons of water to flush the lactic acid out. My neck…meh. It’s still pretty painful. If it doesn’t loosen up I will go to McCracken tomorrow.
I’m not the only one seeing a doc tomorrow. Sammy, our resident baby egg snatcher, came home this week with blood on his face and feeling pretty sad. I cleaned it best I could and left him alone. When I came home at noon to check on him, his whole side of his face was swollen. Looked like he’d been in a boxing ring. So I called the doc and the earliest he could get in was Monday at 2. Well. He’s fine now. It’s gone down, and he’s running around like a fool. I’m still taking him in, just in cases. He brings me eggs. baby bird eggs. Brings them in, plays around, little soccer, little baseball…I can only imagine him climbing trees and baby snatching. My theory is he climbed into the wrong nest and got pecked but good in the face. Sigh.
I had a fabulous dinner of sushi and talk with Gert last night. Multiple hours of playing catch up on our lives. I’ve missed her so much and am so so so proud of her and what she’s done. It was a perfect night, with us both heading out around 9:30. Laughing at the fact that our “wild saturday nights” have changed and here we are heading home and prepping for church the next day. But I love it. I love that we’ve grown up together…so blessed.
I’m going to go grab a piece of toast for breakfast, some more coffee, and maybe read a little before hitting the shower. I have to get gas in the car before heading out and dont want to be late…gah.
Happy Easter my friends.

I hope you have a wonderful day. It’s so beautiful; I can just image the colors of the frontier.
