do you have that noise? do you hear the buz buz buzzzzzzz? It sounds a lot like “you need to.” –“you really should have”–“you ought to”–“you HAVE GOT TO”….do you hear it?
I do.
a few times a week a lot constantly…EVERY SINGLE SECOND OF MY LIFE.
Yesterday I worked at the salon and had two no show’s. Then I got my new grill!!! SHINY! Then I drove to BatShitCrazyTown and bartended for the 8th weekend in a row. ***
This morning I woke up with urgency. Who the HELL wakes up with urgency on their “saturday” and starts running lists of shit to do?
Me. That’s who.
I got up, cleaned the kitchen, watered the front and back yard, talked to all the plants, sorted laundry, started laundry, cleaned my vanity in my room. Went to Sam’s, filled all the way up with gas, gathered provisions in mass quantities and came home.
So. Much. To. Do.
more laundry. more yard. more helping out at a friends…well. well. Ok. There was an obligation that I was supposed to attend…but by the time I stopped with the putting up of the provisions, folding the laundry, dusting and cleaning…I was WIPED. DONE.
FINITO.
So I called M’Lynn…and she said “come on over!”
and I did.
and Purple Pool commenced.
I cannot begin to describe the tension that I began the day with…and how I feel right now. Yes. I am tipsy typing. Yes, I’ve had some sun and Vitamin D intake. Yes I ate homemade ceaser salad and homemade pizzas….but gentle readers…let me just tell you…
My Give A Shit??? almost non-existent. true story.
I am still broke ass. I am still learning lessons about life and escrow and gardening and family and bills and plumbing and boys.
But I know…I KNOW FOR SURE…that the one thing that will get you through the day/week/month…is a true friend. and a cold beer. and a home with a great air conditioner.
true.
story.

I need some that urgency to get things done. I was planning a clean out for this past weekend that never happened. Oh well. There’s always the next weekend. And the next. Then the one after that.

I wake up with that urgency on the weekends too, ALOT! I know the feeling. It’s like I don’t know how to relax anymore. But, I agree… pools, beers, friends, driveways, pizza’s, cakeballs, whatever we need to use to get us to shut the voices up, I AM ON-BOARD!!!
