Another Monday, another day. I woke up early this morning and fed and watered the livestock then took myself back to the bed. slept till dang near 11! Nice. felt nice. Kind of have the stuffy head but other than that, it’s a great day! I ran to the grocery for essentials. was down to my last square of tp, which motivated the no coffee this morning, which is why I still don’t feel awake. I’m an addict. But I got lots of fresh veggies and some stuff to make Brinner a few times (breakfast for dinner) and think I’ll do a meatloaf today to munch on throughout the week.

I have rehearsal tonight, and comedy after if I make it. It’s a good day.

yesterday, however, was a MAGNIFICIENT day. M’lynn and I went to a new church in downtown OKC. it’s across from the bombing site. the church was actually used as the morgue during that time. The service was a little wonky, not how they usually run things, their computer system went kaput so they were winging it. It turned out to be one of those services that takes on a life of its own. And frankly, I loved it. I want to go back there next week for another test drive. After church we went to the Iguana Lounge for brunch. SO GOOD. we had a bloody mary, and a big plate of mexican breakfast slurry with eggs and chiroizo and onions and chips all mucked up into one dish. muy bueno. then we went next door to Sara Sara Cupcakes for dessert. Red Velvet Cupcake and a glass of milk. The glasses are kept in the freezer and you take it out and put it up to the shiny stainless steel milk dispenser what says, white, chocolate or strawberry, and you pull the lever….OH it was just almost too much. sigh. SO GOOD.

After I took her home I headed back downtown to the theatre for our powwow about the education show. We read thru act one of both A Shayna Maidel and All My Sons. Both are great shows. ASM is probably easier to cast and to produce. AMS is three acts (yikes. high school kids) and has a LOT of men. (we have not a lot of men.) But we’ll see. I’m going to finish up reading those today and cast my vote. I’m pretty good with either one, just want one that works with our season and can be produced w/o much strife.

Home from that 2 hours meeting to my house where I met Numskullery. He brought me seasons 1 and 2 of Battlestar Galactica. mmmmmmmmmmmm sweet sweet sweet. We hung out and ate some pizza and watched some Academy Awards. He left early to go get the wife from yoga training and I moved to the couch for some good watching.

she is the body that I want to be. everything was fabulous. I didn’t have one dress that I loved, but I did love the past winners doing the presenting of the acting awards. the show in itself was just great, I felt! Wahoo!!!

Well, the work week is winding down. I’m busy today and that’s good. yesterday was semi, thursday SUCKED!!! I’m getting time to work on lines, however, the boredom is bad for everyones mental health! Glad to finish on a busy note!

I went to see a CHARMING show last night at Carpenter Square…Almost,Maine. Oh. Oh oh oh oh oh the script is lovely. The cast, save one, was strong and made brilliant choices that were just…original and bright and delightful, my friend Kris was just fantastic. It was another great night for 18 bucks. I didn’t go out afterwards, came home and crashed. I did sit by two of my faves that work in the theatre and we all kind of stumbled upon a show to fill our slot…if it passes committee. It’s written by the same author of the show I’m doing now…A Shayna Maydel is the title. I’m hoping. . . that slot for next season is taunting us…

anywoo, got to see B yesterday. Good news is that ScottyRingo is back to feeling his oats again. Hoo Haa! Hope to get facetime tonight with her again..she’s starting a Mary Kay business. LOVE IT. I’ve worn it since jr high/high school. I can’t wait for her to practice her schtick on my face! Anyone need anything? I’ll pass on the order and get it to you. I’m super excited to see all the new face stuff…repair stuff. Yeah yeah, we all know I don’t wash my face from the day. I sleep in the makeup. I do. always have. but I’m starting to see some unsightly markings that hopefully can be repaired without major attention from the TLC network.

Going to the warbar tonight to have some facetime with Gert. My heart is in lockdown in dealing with her impending move. I’m super psyched for her adventure. She’s never done the pack the car and drive away thing. Joe went to Cali. I joined the circus. it’s her turn. I’m sad that I don’t get to help move because she’s leaving the day my show opens. so it’ll be some weekends before I can get down to have a cookie lookie. Nevermind, she’s going to be brilliant. Always part Catwoman, lands on her feet. sigh.

I officially quit Weight Watchers yesterday. quit paying anyway. I’m still following program in my life. I want to use that allotted money to re-join the YMCA. if I can just figure out a way to deal with that joining fee…gah. fees suck.

Still haven’t heard yay or nay for the refinancing OR for the financing on the windows. Communication is NOT key for these two subjects apparently. I allegedly have a 3pm appointment to close on the re-fi. my money (the money I dont have) is on that getting cancelled. Oh well. Whatever happens, happens.

I got some more blonde put into my hair this week during slow downtime. THANKS MGIRL!!! I feel BETTER and back to normal. whew!

I got an email from my neighborlady yesterday saying that she was SO in on paying for her half of the fence and gate. now I just have to get ahold of the guy what owns the other side and pray that he says YES as well!!! crossing fingers folks!

Next week is Fat Tuesday, Ash Wednesday and MLynn’s birthday. She and I are going to celebrate by going to church tomorrow then to brunch and maybe a cupcake before I have my meeting. We were lamenting purple pool weather this week…needing it to get here soon! We’ve been talking about Lent and observing and what we’ll be doing to observe…are you observing? Are you giving up anything? (my standard line is I’ve given up bulimia, married men and world peace for Lent) a ha. a ha ha ha ha ha. funny girl.

That may be it from me. I’m off to refill the coffee…I’m out of Kizz’s gift, but I did get some non–crappy–coffee with the last trip to Wal-Mark.

This is NOT anything like what you get at the Edison Cafe when you order a side of corned beef hash to go with your french toast. I thought…ehhhh maybe? when I bought it. Crap shoot at best…

I knew however, that this was not going to be good when I opened the can and was hit with a smell that wasn’t nearly as good as the catfood I’d just fed the livestock. Ok. maybe it always smells like that before it’s cooked. I put it in the pan and start to heat it up and OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD somebody take the dead body smell out of my house!!! Do I stop? nope. just put the lid on the skillet. At this point I took a little gander at the facts on the can and got out my handy dandy little weight watchers point slider…when I had to take it out and turn it over to get to the correct amount of calories…(hell NO I didn’t throw it out then! if the dead body cat food smell didnt do it, you think I’m scared of calories???) well. Turns out corned beef hash is not so w.w. friendly. I’m thinking…if I take the lid off and it’s JUST LIKE WE GET AT THE EDISON CAFE….I don’t care.

Had a semi busy day today. Everybody showed up but one, so whatever. The weather here was gorgeous. 70’s and perfect. I feel good about the windows today though I didn’t hear anything about the financing yet. I heard nothing from the refi guy either. I’m totally blessing it and letting it go for awhile…

oh, and while watching The Biggest Loser…i had this for supper….yeah. yeah I did.

Bonusmom gifted me with a waffle iron. and I had fresh blueberries so Voila. Supper. and Biggest Loser. just like Coors Light and an ep of Intervention.

Oh the roller coaster of life.

Yesterday, I had my head wrapped tightly around what I wanted to happen with the windows and with the financing and was standing firm without budging. Plans Schmans. I’m UP!

So…I got the windows I wanted. I’m UP! The basic kind, uber insulated and wrapped so no more painting or rotting of the wood. no grids, no full screens, no fanch schmancy bells and whistles. just some good, solid windows that will save me money in the long run. After I got my mind wrapped around that chunk of money…I’m DOWN. then UP again! because it’s a good thing and I have the escrow money to put onto it…and tax refund…

my re-fi guy calls basically just to stir my pot. it’s a holiday, so banks and market are all closed so there really isn’t anything that he can tell me other than due to MY higher insurance (my house is old folks. it is. and to get complete coverage to rebuild, plus a deductable that I can feasably come up with…well it is what it is. I even called a client that told me the same rate last week) and something else that he estimated being lower than it was, things aren’t working out. The rates haven’t dropped he says…I don’t know. All he did was just stir me up and say, I’ll call tomorrow with answers. good. grief. why call at all??? I am SO DOWN. DOWN DOWN DOWN.

So I just get a grip. If I’m not meant to re-fi right now, I’ll quit trying to push the round thing into the square thing. ok. I’m up again.

Laundry throughout the day is making me feel accomplished. I’m UP! the shit ton of water gurgling up thru the drain and running out the garage into the driveway is making me feel scared. I’m DOWN! I make some calls and texts and think it just needs to be snaked. I’ll call my friend from the bar days this week. I’m BACK UP!

I get a call from my friends dad regarding the fence. There’s trees that need to come down. the fence is 1900 bucks. I’m so DOWN. But maybe. . . someway. . . .

I’ve cleaned out the pantry, reorganized it, done dishes, vaccumed and folded laundry, changed the sheets on my bed, put a few pictures in frames, started the organizing of my papers with the folders I bought…I’m UP again!

kids…have you in your whole entire lives seen such a one woman show of CRAZY?????

After rehearsal last night, (which went well) I just collapsed. Still cant breathe much, but the trusted neti pot is helping!

I know that I have made good decisions regarding the house. The fence, what i want so badly…may just have to wait. There’s not a lot I can do about it right now. I’m just going to sit tight and wait for some answers and clarity!

Champion windows is the big winner!!!

so. it’s about 2000 more than I wanted, but still very doable. All 8 windows, wrapped and installed, fancy schmancy 8 layers of super fabulous everything, guaranteed for as long as I own the home, screens, double hung. Wahoo! I did get the 40% off for Presidents day. I also got $200 off in lieu of the money matching promo that is happening at the showroom. $300 yard sign agreement (I put up a yard sign two months a year for 3 years), then 5% off for writing testamonials and 5% off for agreeing to talk to anyone interested in hearing testimonals. He really worked to get me into a price I could live with. All of this is depending on financing. I gave 100 cash today, with a check for 400 pending my escrow money when I get it. My plan is to put escrow money in another savings, along with half of this years tax refund. throughout the year I’ll add to it, then if I need to use next years refund as well and pay it all off next spring!

And I will have windows that open! And will be so much more efficient! I’m super psyched.

Yeah, I know I wanted a new computer and a trip to the beach, but whatever. I’m a homeowner now. This is how I roll.

Just had my first estimate for windows. This guy was from Pella. He looked around, gave me the brochure and specials, then left and will email me my estimate in a few hours. Next up is Champion. This is who I’m really wanting to come thru. . . because they are running a special for President’s day. 40% off an order of 6 or more windows. Here’s what I want to happen. I want for my total order, including the 40% off to come to 3000 or less. Then I want to finance it with their 12 months no payments no interest. THEN when I close on my house next week, I will take my escrow money, put it in the bank, not touch it till this comes due next year, add along the way, and throw in what I need to of my tax refund next year and pay them off! VOILA! but I want other estimates too…this afternoon is Public Supply. M’Lynn has had two of her people use them and really like them so. . . we’ll see!

I’ve also got a friend who’s dad builds fences. They came by and had a cookie lookie this weekend and he is going to add up the cost bla bla bla. I’m still not convinced that I can’t build this…OH plus, one of my neighbors is going halfsies with me on one side, and hopefully the owner of the other house will do the same!

I’m also getting estimates and names of someone to blow some more insulation up in the attic. We’re getting Casa Zelda spiffed and efficient!!!

ok. I’m cleaning and cooking and re-organizing my kitchen including mopping and cooking for the week. Hope your Monday is a good one. maybe you are on holiday! maybe not. Either way…we’re one day closer to SPRING!!!

just been running around, kind of in my own head this week. work was busy, but I missed second commission by 42 dollars!!! gah! oh well. I’m happy to make the first one.

Friday night was PseudoSis2’s husband’s 30th birthday party. it was a surprise and while he kind of knew about it, everyone had a great time! it was lots of fun and good to see friends!

Valentines day was busy at work and the evening was supposed to go like this: work. eat Indian food (red dot not woo woo) with MGirl, Numskullery and ElephantSoap, then head to the comedy club to see some of the Redhead’s MC skills.

I didn’t get reservations in time and both shows sold out. gah. that sucked. The Red Dot food was brilliant and I will do that again. However, my allergies blew up all day Saturday and my nose was so clogged that I couldn’t taste too well, then the spices made it run so I was kind of a mess. MGirl peeled off to do her thing and the three of us headed down to the Warren Theatre to catch a movie.

SOLD OUT. everything. until the 10pm shows.

We decided to hang out at my house, and watch the mini-series that started the sci fi series Battlestar Galactica. OH SO GOOD!!!. I’m such a sci-fi geek anyways. we didn’t get all three hours finished last night because I was falling asleep with a head the size of Texas. sinus schminus. I finished it this morning and want MORE MORE MORE!!!

Today was supposed to be full of deep cleaning and organization. But I felt like shit for the majority of it. I did hit the big wal-mark for provisions such as my new Neti Pot.
Elephantsoap has been telling me I needed one for awhile now, and so it goes. it’s weird. And feels funky, but the thought of getting my sinus cavity cleaned out without blowing up or drying up my head…I kind of like it. I napped for the rest of the afternoon on sinus meds. Woke up to make myself some blueberry pancakes and have just kind of loafed the rest of the night. I’ve picked up and put up but the rest will have to wait till tomorrow. . . which is full of window guys giving estimates. I have a 9, a 10 and a 1pm appointment. Rehearsal tomorrow night. Full day.

which is why I should prolly hit the sack. tired. tired of sneezing. So have a good night. I’m out.
