HIRED!

I have a roof that is temporarily repaired. I have a general contractor that is going to do all the cyphering and the figuring to get my roof done, my house painted, and the guttering put up. He is the husband of one of my managers at work. He came over at 7pm and after he repaired my leaks, he sat with me and went line by line over the insurance papers and explained things to me (some things several times) Words like contracting and depreciation and line items and composite shingles and decking and what the what????

Todd is my Rainy Monday Hero.

He’s going to get back with me by Wednesday and then we’ll get started. WHEW!!!

So…I’m thinking of having my house painted a different color other than the white that is on there now…I’m going to have my trusty decorator give me his opinion and we’ll see! Kinda exciting to think about it when it’s someone else’s money.

The floods today were epic. Seriously. We made national news all day long…but tonight it’s calm. and I’m covered. and the windows are open and the breeze is blowing and I threw some grass seed out that will hopefully spring forth in a few weeks and things will be back to normal. I have high hopes for this week.
